Hospital administrators and frontline providers are invited to attend a nasopharyngeal swab technique Facebook Live Event, to be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The event will be hosted by UNMC iEXCEL and the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
The event will feature a swabbing technique video, a live swabbing demonstration and a discussion panel/Q&A session.
Participants will learn the correct techniques for safely and accurately obtaining a nasopharyngeal swab.
The event will feature otolaryngology faculty, including:
- Christie Barnes, M.D., residency program director;
- Jayme Dowdall, M.D., director of research; and
- Samuel Pate, M.D., department vice chair.
