This 15-minute module introduces health science students to the field of public health and how it works alongside clinical care to improve health outcomes. Learners will explore the core functions and essential services that guide how communities prevent disease and promote well-being. Through the story of one character followed across the lifespan, students encounter real-life public health issues such as lead paint exposure, vaping, food-borne illness, and vaccination, illustrating how public health complements healthcare in shaping health at every stage of life.
