Staying Balanced:
When I am having a really overwhelming week I cool off by lifting weights. I always feel strong and accomplished when I finish up, and my mind is clear and ready to take on my work. Then I call my mom and dad and talk their ears off.
Three things people may not know about me:
1) I got to shoot the hot dog cannon at my first Husker game.
2) I played saxophone in a jazz group in college called The Big Band on the Rio Grande.
3) During organic chemistry in undergrad, I worried I might not be able to become a doctor and worked in a cupcake shop as an alternative career.
We are fortunate to have you, Laura, in our MD/PhD student program! Congrats on the Walls do Talk honor!
