Today is Giving Tuesday, an annual global day of giving. Founded in 2012, #GivingTuesday inspires us to come together on one day to support the causes in which we believe.
Giving Tuesday comes intentionally after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, days on which many begin their holiday shopping.
The University of Nebraska Foundation invites those who want to help the UNMC community during Giving Tuesday to consider a contribution to the UNMC Disaster and Relief Fund.
This fund enables the UNMC administration to provide financial assistance directly to students and employees who face a sudden emergency or hardship. This includes those who experience a personal crisis related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Employees of UNMC can use the employee giving site to designate a gift to the UNMC Disaster and Relief Fund or to select another area of the university to help.
