E-Health, mobile health tech summit set for October

The UNMC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research will host a virtual E-Health and Mobile Health Technologies Summit on Oct. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone working with or interested in developing e-health and mobile health technologies is welcome to attend.

Participants must register online here through NuRamp for this event by Oct. 15. Faculty, students and staff from UNMC, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Nebraska Medicine, Children’s Hospital & Medical Center or their collaborators are all welcome to attend. A confirmation email with the Zoom link will be sent to registrants.

Participants in the E-Health and Mobile Health Technologies Summit will have an opportunity to discuss their interests in breakout rooms.

Topics discussed throughout the afternoon will include:

  • The promise of electronic health tools, including to address rural and other health disparities
  • Collaborative resources available
  • Overview of what should be considered with mobile health technologies and requirements to assure information security
