Register, host a science booth at 2022 SciFest

Organizers of the 2022 Nebraska Science Festival (SciFest) invite UNMC departments and units to participate in the Public Science Expo and showcase fun and engaging hands-on learning opportunities for school-aged children.

The free public expo will be April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at The Durham Museum. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, tickets will be required to attend this year’s expo. Reserve your ticket and timed entrance on March 1 by visiting The Durham Museum website.

UNMC faculty, staff and students are encouraged to host a SciFest booth with an activity or demonstration that showcases science in a unique, dramatic or unusual way. There is no charge for the booth, but materials must be provided at your own expense. Visit the Nebraska Science Festival website for details and to register a booth.

The Nebraska Science Festival — scheduled throughout the month of April — will feature an array of science- and technology-related activities in communities across the state. Visit the Nebraska Science Festival website for scheduled activities and details.

Presented by UNMC, the Nebraska Science Festival is a collaboration of organizations and individuals interested in the advancement of science literacy. The science festival is designed to make science accessible, interactive, relevant and fun for kids and adults alike.
