Omaha Performing Arts offers discount to UNMC

Omaha Performing Arts is offering a discount code to save UNMC students and employees 10% on ticket prices for select shows.

Select shows include:

"WICKED," April 27 through May 15 at the Orpheum Theater. Code valid for evening shows Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One — born with emerald green skin — is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for a satisfying musical.
"SNAP! A Mystery And Magic Performance," May 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater. Playing with space, time and the otherworldly, this eclectic ensemble of South Korean illusionists showcase impressive powers of prestidigitation. Mixing dexterous sleight of hand, vaudevillian comedy and ingenious visual effects, "SNAP" conjures a marvelous, magical cabaret perfect for the whole family.
"An Evening with Lisa Fischer," May 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center. After four decades of featured background singing with such icons as Luther Vandross, The Rolling Stones, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner and Nine Inch Nails, Fischer takes center stage with her own songs. Fischer was the subject of the 2013 Best Documentary Oscar-winning film "Twenty Feet from Stardom," which featured clips of her performing with Sting and Mick Jagger.
"Anastasia," June 7 through June 12 at the Orpheum Theater. Code valid for all performances except Saturday evening. The dazzling show transports attendees from the twilight of the Russian Empire to Paris in the 1920s. A brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past.
