Nominations for the Unsung Hero Award are open through Dec. 9.

This year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration will include recognition of colleagues doing good work in the community and health system.

The second annual Unsung Hero Award will be presented during the event to a Nebraska Medicine or UNMC employee who demonstrates a positive attitude and professionalism at work; supports the community through volunteerism, service, outreach or encouragement; champions diversity personally and professionally; and displays ITEACH values.
