Gary Yee, PharmD, has announced his intention to step down as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs after four years in the role. He will return to academic duties in the UNMC College of Pharmacy as of July 1. 

Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dele Davies, MD, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Yee for his leadership and for the excellence he brought to the role, and he said he looks forward to thanking him more formally in the future. 

Dr. Davies also announced the formation of a search committee to seek candidates for the associate vice chancellor position. 

Search committee members are:

  • Jennifer Larsen, MD, Louise and Morton Degen Professor of Medicine, committee co-chair
  • Christopher Kratochvil, MD, UNMC interim vice chancellor for external relations, co-chair
  • Ken Bayles, MD, UNMC vice chancellor for research
  • Philip Covington, EdD, associate vice chancellor for student success
  • Sarah Gloden Carlson, JD, assistant vice chancellor and director for human resources and UNMC chief compliance officer
  • Jim Turpen, PhD, emeritus vice chancellor for academic affairs and executive associate dean for graduate studies
  • Donald Klepser, PharmD, senior associate dean for academic affairs, UNMC College of Pharmacy
  • Ashley Wysong, MD, William W. Bruce, MD Distinguished Chair of Dermatology, UNMC College of Medicine
  • Rakesh Singh, PhD, Cohen Professor and vice chair for graduate education, UNMC Department of Pathology and Microbiology
  • Susan Kraft Mann, assistant vice chancellor for business and finance, director of budget and fiscal analysis
