Graduation celebrations begin this week

Graduation season at UNMC is approaching. In addition to the ceremonies and events held by each college and program, the campus community is invited to the following celebrations this week.

Lavender Graduation – today (April 29) from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Olsen Atrium of the Wigton Heritage Center. The ceremony will honor LGTBQ+ students and their allies and acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the university community. Family, friends, supporters and members of the university community are invited and welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. For more information see this link.

Another graduation reception will be held Wednesday, May 1, from 5-7 p.m. in the Wigton Heritage Center. The ceremony honors all UNMC graduates, especially those who have served to make UNMC a more inclusive space, acknowledging the achievements and contributions graduates have made to the campus community.
