The public is invited to view works in a variety of mediums from several artists during the Munroe-Meyer Institute’s Advocacy and the Arts exhibit.
The annual showcase opens with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on May 8. The display will be open May 9 to May 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second level of MMI.
The Trailblazers’ Advocacy and the Arts program is an arts-based learning opportunity for students with disabilities.
Under the guidance of MMI faculty and professional teaching artists, students develop advocacy skills, build upon their art skills and increase self-confidence while exploring a variety of mediums and art-based careers.
