The lower-level view of the new parking deck that will be designated for students

Parking deck for students opens

A new, two-level parking deck will open today (Aug. 1) on the east side of UNMC’s Omaha campus.

The 144-stall parking deck will be a designated student lot (Lot No. 14S) and available to students with valid parking permits. Upper-level access will be from Dewey Avenue; lower-level access will be via Jones Street.

The parking deck is located directly south of UNMC’s new residence facility, which is expected to open in fall 2026. Until then, the lot will be accessible to all UNMC students in Omaha and will help ease parking congestion on campus.

UNMC joins Santee Health Fair

Representatives from around UNMC and Nebraska Medicine participated in the 15th annual Santee Health Fair in Niobrara, Nebraska, on June 27.
