UNMC held its annual #WeAreUNMC BBQ and combined Student Involvement Fair on Aug. 27.

The welcome back event featured a cookout and yard games at the Ruth & Bill Scott Student Plaza, and at the Center for Healthy Living, more than 90 registered student organizations and campus groups connected with students and offered some back-to-school fun.

“The start of an academic year is one of my two favorite moments: the energy of new beginnings and, later, the joy of watching students cross the stage at graduation,” Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, said on his Instagram account. “Thanks to everyone who joined us at the @iamunmc BBQ and student fair this week. Here’s to the start of a great year! #golabs

This looks so fun…they are fortunate to have activities every so often. Keep it up!

We appreciate those units who provided funding and person-power to pull off an event of this magnitude! Student Success and Campus Engagement funded this initiative with a lot of help from community partners! Such an amazing event to welcome faculty, staff, and students across the Omaha campus!
