UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to join Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, for this month’s all-campus forum.
Dr. Davies will be joined by Kyle Meyer, PhD, who leads UNMC’s new Office of Health Workforce Initiatives as its associate vice chancellor for health workforce initiatives. Dr. Meyer continues to serve as dean of the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions until summer 2026, when he plans to step down as dean.
The all-campus forum will be from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 2014, on the Omaha campus. The forum also will be available via Zoom; the link can be found on the campus intranet.
Dr. Meyer will discuss the goals of the new Office of Health Workforce Initiatives, which aligns and integrates current workforce efforts and serves as a resource for external agencies and communities as they partner with UNMC to maintain and grow their health care workforce. He also will provide UNMC College of Allied Health Professions updates.
In addition, attendees will hear the latest on topics ranging from fall enrollment numbers to budgetary matters to UNMC’s academic expansion in Kearney.
Questions can be asked during or before the forum. To ask a question in advance, email the UNMC Strategic Communications team. An American Sign Language interpreter will take part in the event.
