the UNMC Graduate Studies Wellness Hub, located in Durham Research Center I, is a welcoming space for graduate students to relax, recharge and connect.

The space offers a kitchen area with coffee maker, microwave, ice machine and refrigerator. It also serves as a delivery site for the Maverick Food Pantry and offers an array of nonperishable grocery and personal hygiene products – free of charge.
Staff from UNMC Graduate Studies are on hand twice a week to provide face-to-face services and answer student questions. You can find Jamie Sorenson, graduate studies specialist, in the hub on Mondays. Kayla Lorenzo, graduate studies specialist, admissions, staffs the hub on Thursdays. Both are on site from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beyond services, the Wellness Hub is a great place to unwind. In addition to a variety of puzzles and games, a flat-screen TV and foosball table make it an ideal place to catch up with others over some friendly competition.
The space is often decorated for the season and features photos by UNMC international students submitted as part of the annual photo contest. These images inspire moments of reflection and calm.
