How I fell in love with medicine and my specialty:

As I grew up in a small town, family medicine was the only exposure to physicians I had. I was drawn to medicine from a young age and always pictured myself as a primary care/family medicine physician, because I cherish building relationships with others. Throughout residency, I enjoyed the patient continuity and caring for multiple members of a family. I love that family medicine allows me to provide preventative care, chronic disease management and acute care for patients of all ages.
