Grief during the holidays subject of brown bag

Cecilia Poon, PhD, clinical psychologist in the Nebraska Medicine Department of Psychology, will present “Grief During the Holidays” at the next Olson Center Brown Bag.

The holidays are usually a joy-filled time to gather with friends and family. However, for some, the holidays can cause grief to intensify.

In her virtual presentation on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from noon to 1 p.m., Dr. Poon will provide helpful ideas to cope with grief and how to support others who are grieving.

Dr. Poon also is the training director of the Clinical Health Psychology Pre-Doctoral Internship Program at Nebraska Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Psychiatry.
