UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, sent this holiday message to UNMC faculty, staff and students on Thursday, Dec. 18.
As 2025 ends, I want to thank each of you for everything you have done throughout the year. You, along with your fellow faculty, staff and students, are what makes UNMC so special.
Over the past year, we’ve celebrated achievements that show our community’s strength and innovation. Across UNMC, you’ve taught, discovered, cared, learned, solved problems and supported colleagues in ways that will last well beyond this year. You make our campuses and clinics places where people feel seen, supported and valued.
I also know this year brought change and uncertainty in higher education, at our university and beyond. Through it all, you continued to show up for one another and for those we serve. That speaks to who we are at UNMC — and I am honored and privileged to be part of this community.
I hope this holiday season gives you time to rest, reflect and reconnect with what matters most. Thank you for all you do and for the care you bring to our community every day.
