New schedule set for 42nd Street access changes

UNMC Facilities Management and Planning has announced the following changes in accessing two UNMC buildings along 42^nd Street in Omaha:

• Poynter Hall’s east entrance will reopen Wednesday morning (April 15).
• Wittson Hall’s east entrance will close at noon on Wednesday (April 15). Employees, students and visitors can enter the building through either Poynter Hall or Bennett Hall entrances or via the skywalk over 42^nd Street, accessible through the Sorrell Center. The Wittson Hall entrance will remain closed until September as construction teams reconstruct the sidewalk and crosswalk areas.

42^nd Street between Emile and Leavenworth streets

Beginning Monday, April 20, OPPD crews will begin underground street work on 42^nd Street between Emile and Leavenworth streets to expand campus circuitry for future projects. The two-week project will not affect traffic flow or impede access to Lot 22.
