UNMC Facilities Management and Planning has begun a summer parking lot maintenance project, starting at UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute campus, followed by work on the main Omaha campus.
Planned maintenance is scheduled for the following parking lots:
- Lot 15
- Lot 22 L
- Lot 22 U
- Lot 66
- Lot 65 V (MMI)
- Lot 65 E (MMI)
- Lot 67E (MMI)
UNMC Parking Services will notify permit holders directly before work begins in their assigned lot. The project is expected to be completed in August.
Parking fees do not generate revenue for the medical center; instead, they help cover the ongoing costs of operating and maintaining facilities. These expenses include maintenance and improvements, snow removal, security, equipment and administrative support.
