Closed section of Emile Street reopens to traffic

After several months of being fully closed, Emile Street has reopened between 41^st and 42^nd streets.

Traffic has resumed in both directions, although work will continue for the next few months on the north side of the street. During this time, the 42^nd Street crosswalk across Emile Street will remain closed. Pedestrians still must cross Emile Street at 41^st Street. 

The utility work, which started along Emile Street in January, is related to the 42^nd Street improvement project. The entire 42^nd Street project between Emile and Dewey Streets will wrap up in September.
