Work continues to restore operations in the Durham Outpatient Center after the water leak early Monday morning. Here are the latest developments:
- Level 2 will open with full operations on Wednesday, July 22
- Work continues on level 3 with the intention of normal operations on Friday, July 24
- Levels 4 and 5 will remain closed for the rest of the week
- Do not enter these areas unless you are actively working on the Facilities response
- A decision will be made later in the week about operations on levels 4 and 5 for the week of July 27
- Ambulatory Operations continues to reschedule appointments that were impacted by this incident

Due to the water leak in the Durham Outpatient Center, levels four and five will be closed for the rest of this week. This includes the following clinics:
- Olson Center for Women’s Health (including mammography)
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Specialty Clinic
- Student Health
The UNMC Dental Clinic on level three will be closed at least through Wednesday, July 22.
The DOC ground, first and second floors plan to operate normally on Tuesday, July 21, with the exception of the Heart & Vascular clinic, which will operate on a modified schedule, and the Cornerstone Gift Shop, which will be closed.
Ambulatory Operations will continue to contact patients to reschedule appointments at alternate locations or later dates.
Levels four and five of the MSB were also impacted by the leak and will be closed. Facilities identified, isolated, and repaired the broken water line around 7 a.m. Monday morning. Work will continue throughout the week to fix the damage caused by the water leak.
