How I fell in love with movement disorders neurology: I fell in love with movement disorders because of its emphasis on phenomenology-driven problem-solving, the engaging debates sparked by differing interpretations of movements and having the privilege of working with a compassionate community of movement physicians who inspire me, all during such an exciting and evolving time in the field.

  • MBBS
  • Residency, Prisma Upstate, Greenville, South Carolina
  • Fellowship, movement disorders, UNMC

Three things people may not know about me:

  • I was born in Germany.
  • I love teaching my dog, Charlie, complex tricks — he can close doors, clean up his toys and press the foot pedal to open the trash and throw things away (if he’s properly compensated with treats!).
  • I love horror movies – voluntarily scaring myself is somehow relaxing.
