UNMC, Dr. McAdam-Marx recognized for work with CORE educational platform

UNMC has been recognized by PeopleGrove, the creator of the CORE with the 2026 Platform of the Year Award for its work in implementing the system. CORE is an educational technology software platform that centralizes and streamlines many administrative and educational tasks related to experiential education. Carrie McAdam-Marx, PhD, associate dean and director for the UNMC College of Pharmacy’s Office of Experiential Programs, accepted the award at an August event.

“This award reflects UNMC’s commitment to innovation in streamlining processes and centralizing data, and the tremendous work of our experiential education teams in implementing the platform,” Dr. McAdam-Marx said, adding that she was honored to receive the award on behalf of UNMC.

Kyle Meyer, PhD, associate vice chancellor, health workforce initiatives, called the award a well deserved recognition of Dr. McAdam-Marx’s hard work and leadership in navigating the implementation of CORE, saying he anticipated that students and educators would benefit for her work as the program nears full implementation.

Both UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and UNMC College of Pharmacy Dean Don Klepser, PhD, congratulated Dr. McAdam-Marx on the award, with Dr. Klepser calling it a reflection of her hard work implementing the system.
