Frederick Douglass the focus of tonight’s Durham event

UNMC employees are invited to join Charles Everett Pace tonight as he explores Frederick Douglass’ life as abolitionist, journalist, military recruiter and presidential adviser.

When: 5 p.m. reception, 6:30 p.m. presentation.

Where: The Durham Museum

What: Pace will impersonate Douglass and show how he played a significant role in the public perception and policy execution of the American Civil War.

Admission: The event is free for UNMC employees and their immediate family thanks to the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with valid identification, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
