Center for Women’s Health Research hosting symposium

The Nebraska Center for Women’s Health Research at UNMC is hosting its inaugural symposium on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Truhlsen Events Center on the UNMC campus.

The symposium, which will run from 8 a.m.-3:45 p.m., will bring together researchers, clinicians, students and other stakeholders from across the region to explore advances in women’s health.

Highlights include:

  • A keynote address by Kerrie Moreau, PhD, an internationally recognized leader in women’s vascular health.
  • Invited presentations from experts in women’s health, including a featured talk by Sarosh Rana, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Chris J. and Marie A. Olson Endowed Professor in the department.
  • Expert presentations across topics in women’s health.
  • Interactive poster sessions and networking opportunities.
  • A poster award ceremony and closing reflections.

Registration, which is free and open to all, is due by Thursday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m.

All poster abstracts are welcome. Abstracts are limited to 250 words and also are due by Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. Presenters are responsible for their own poster printing, with a maximum size of 36 by 48 inches.
