How I fell in love with my field:
I have wanted to be a scientist since I was a child, always asking “why” and collecting samples from a local pond to look at under my microscope. As I grew up, I realized human behavior and brain functioning are even more interesting. I love how neuroscience helps us understand the biological explanations for each person’s individuality.
Education and experience:
- Graduate education, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, 2016
- Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology, University of Virginia Department of Neurology, 2018
- Clinical neuropsychologist, Banner Sun Health Research Institute in Arizona
Memberships:
- American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology
- American Psychological Association
- International Neuropsychological Society
Three things people might not know about me:
- I have a 2-year-old chihuahua-cattle dog mix named Pumpkin.
- I enjoy learning about wine, especially unusual growing regions, most recently Mexico.
- I am new to the Midwest. Visiting UNMC was my first time.
Clinical location: Clarkson Doctors Building North
