How I fell in love with transplant surgery:
My love for transplant surgery began as an intern, while caring for a kidney transplant recipient, and I witnessed the transformative impact of a new organ. That sense of purpose only deepened when I participated in my first liver procurement and later witnessed the extraordinary transition from donor to recipient. Now, being part of sewing in a new organ, I feel the privilege of giving someone a second chance at life. What makes this field even more meaningful is the chance to truly know my patients and care for them over a lifetime.
