Bennington clinic opens a new chapter in neighborhood care

Nebraska Medicine officials and Bennington Mayor Clint Adams cut the ribbon on the new Nebraska Medicine-Bennington Health Center.

Nebraska Medicine’s newest primary care clinic, Nebraska Medicine-Bennington Health Center, is preparing to open its doors to patients on Monday, March 9.

The new health center, located at 156th and State streets, will expand access to high-quality primary care for families in one of the Omaha area’s fastest-growing communities. The facility will be open for appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Primary care is about really getting to know your patients and their histories and working together to meet their goals and maintain their wellness,” said Chad Moes, MD, medical director. “We’re honored to offer those personal connections to the Bennington community and look forward to seeing families for years to come.”

“Nebraska Medicine is committed to making our world-class care available to families across the Omaha metro and beyond,” Michael Ash, MD, Nebraska Medicine CEO, said. “Now more families can establish primary care in their own neighborhood and have access to our network of Nebraska Medicine specialists and services when they need them.”

To mark the upcoming opening, the Bennington community joined Nebraska Medicine for an open house on Feb. 28. Guests toured the facility, met the clinic team and enjoyed family-friendly activities, including visits from Herbie Husker and members of the Nebraska spirit squad. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Monday, March 2, to commemorate the clinic’s opening, with remarks by Dr. Ash, Dr. Moes and Bennington Mayor Clint Adams.
