Dr. O’Malley to give presentation on uterine fibroids

UNMC’s Marie O’Malley, MD, will present “Bilateral Uterine Artery Embolization to Treat Uterine Fibroids” as part of the Olson Center for Women’s Health and UNMC College of Nursing webinar series. This webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, at noon via Zoom.

Dr. O’Malley is an assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Radiology.

The presentation will describe current treatment strategies for uterine fibroids to enhance interdisciplinary health care team knowledge. Dr. O’Malley will explain the role, indications and clinical effectiveness of minimally invasive treatment options for uterine fibroids in appropriate patient populations. The webinar also will apply evidence-based education and quality improvement strategies to improve patient access to uterine fibroid care across clinical settings.
