UNMC commencement is Saturday: Info to know

The UNMC Omaha commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 9, at 9 a.m. at Baxter Arena, 2425 S. 67th St. in Omaha.

Here is some information to know:

Academic attire pickup

For spring commencement in Omaha, students can pick up their attire on:

  • Tuesday, May 5, noon-4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 6, 1-6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 7, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Pickup is in Williams Science Hall, second floor.

For spring commencement in Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney and Scottsbluff, participants will receive information about attire pickup from their location coordinators.

Commencement program

Printed commencement programs will not be available at the ceremony. Download the online program at this link.

Commencement schedule and logistics

  • Both free parking and paid reserved parking options are available at Baxter Arena. View the parking map online.
  • Baxter Arena allows only clear bags and small clutch-sized purses at entry. This applies to all students and guests attending the ceremony. View the Baxter Arena clear bag policy details.
  • Graduates will be seated on the main floor of the arena. Guests will not be allowed on the arena’s main floor at any time.
  • The ceremony will last for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Ceremonies statewide

  • Lincoln: 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
  • Norfolk: 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Northeast Community College – Cox Activities Center.
  • Kearney: 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Health and Sports Center.
  • Omaha: 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Baxter Arena, 2425 S. 67th St.
  • Scottsbluff: 3 p.m. MDT on Saturday, May 9, at Scottsbluff High School Auditorium.
