Patrick Leahy, a candidate running to represent District 6 in the Nebraska Legislature, visited UNMC on July 22.
To start his visit, Leahy met with Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC’s director of government relations. He received a tour of the Davis Global Center.
The tour of the Davis Global Center, led by Jaime Boyko, iEXCEL community engagement director, highlighted UNMC’s cutting-edge medical simulation program.
The campus community isn’t new to Leahy, but it continues to impress each time he sees it up close, Leahy said.
“I’m very appreciative of what everybody’s doing, from the chancellor and administration looking out for students, faculty and researchers to the students who are just starting out and who chose to be here in Nebraska, and everybody in between,” he said.
