Princesses, superheroes and other costumed guests will take over the Munroe-Meyer Institute next month for the institute’s annual Trick or Treat event.
The Oct. 18 event, held at the Munroe-Meyer Institute, runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Trick-or-treaters and their families can collect candy and other goodies from stations set up around the first floor of the institute.
Staff, businesses and community organizations are invited to participate in the event, as well. Sign-ups are open now for options that include hosting a candy or treat station, donating peanut-free treats or themed goodies, or decorating the institute for the event.
“This is a fun, sensory-friendly event for individuals with disabilities and their families,” said Jacqueline Hankins-Berry, administrative programs associate. “Support from the MMI community and the wider metro community has turned this into one of our most anticipated and successful annual events.”
