Why is research important in the world today?
Engaging in scientific research gives us a chance to use both creativity and curiosity to meet challenges in our world. It empowers us to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and resources available to make new discoveries and inspire the next generation of scientists.
My research will make a difference because:
My research team uses advanced new technologies and methods to provide insight into mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis at human infection sites. We think this approach will result in promising therapeutic strategies to improve human health.
