Meyer to lead allied health
Kyle Meyer has been named associate dean of the School of Allied Health Professions, effective Aug. 1. Meyer has served as assistant professor and director of clinical education in the Division of Physical Therapy Education since 1991, and has held academic appointments at UNMC for more than 25 years.

Travel reimbursement changes announced
In response to user feedback, the University of Nebraska will be implementing electronic signatures for online Travel Expense Statements in SAP beginning July 1. This will eliminate the need for required hand written signatures and thus expedite the travel reimbursement process.

Regents pass resolution opposing petition drive
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents recently passed a resolution opposing the petition drive to amend the Constitution in order to cap state spending. The Board of Regents urges “all Nebraskans who care about education and the future of Nebraska to refuse to sign the petition.” Click to read the resolution.

Bartee named vice chancellor for external affairs at UNMC
Bob Bartee, executive assistant to the chancellor since joining the medical center in 1980, has been named vice chancellor for external affairs at UNMC. The University of Nebraska Board of Regents Thursday approved the new appointment, creating the fourth vice chancellor post at UNMC.

College of Medicine celebrates 125th anniversary
