Internal medicine residents pass boards for seventh straight year
For the seventh consecutive year, residents of UNMC’s Department of Internal Medicine have recorded a 100 percent pass rate on their certification examinations. James O’Dell, M.D., director of the internal medicine residency program, said that no other program in the region has numbers comparable to UNMC.

Beginning this month, Joslyn Art Museum is partnering with UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and University Medical Associates to offer employees a cultural passport. In 2005, Joslyn Art Museum will be bringing the arts to campus by offering art-focused cultural opportunities to employees, students and their families. Fry assumes role of director of governmental relations
In her position as director of governmental relations, Renee Fry wants to introduce UNMC researchers to federal opportunities for non-peer-reviewed research funding. Before she can do that, however, Fry needs to introduce herself to those same medical scientists. That’s why she’s spent much of her first few weeks on campus in meetings with those researchers.

Memorial service today for Maureen Cleary
Memorial services are today for Maureen “Mo” Cleary, a former alumni director at UNMC. Cleary died Dec. 29 at her home in Estes Park, Colo., of complications from breast cancer, which was diagnosed in 2002. She was 53.
