Eric Nagengast, a UNMC medical student, is working in the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change (PGSSC) at Harvard Medical School. The program works to provide surgical care for low income countries.

Fans of the televised drama “Nashville” may have been affected by the pregnancy storyline that Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s character, Peggy Kenter, underwent earlier this year — but they may not have known that some of the medical nuts and bolts behind that storyline were supplied by UNMC’s Paul Paulman, M.D., family medicine.
