Construction update – Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center
With over half of the structural foundation piers in place, the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center is going vertical. The addition of the second crane located in the northeast corner of the project site allows crews to expand the footprint of the concrete structure facility. Over the next few months, horizontal slabs will be poured to form the lower levels of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Research Tower.

As an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the elbow and shoulder, it bothers Matt Teusink, M.D., to see the alarming rate of elbow and shoulder injuries in baseball pitchers — from Little League to professional. He said many of the injuries are preventable.
