The debate about health care reform is heating up as President Obama and Congress tackle the issues and draft plans. … UNMC, UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center have formed a health care review group to study the issues that will affect the medical center and its employees.

Founding dean of new nursing division named
Ruth (Pakieser) Macnamara, Ph.D., has been appointed assistant dean of the new UNMC College of Nursing Northern Division in Norfolk. As the founding and transitional dean, she will help identify a permanent assistant dean by January 2011.
