Weaving cultural competency across campus
In 2005, campus leaders discussed cultural competency as being more than a series of diversity projects. It is an attitude, they said, that values differing experiences and perspectives and welcomes culture, world viewpoints and gender. In 2006, the goal formally became one of UNMC’s critical success factors complete with action steps.

Med center’s small bowel transplant program the nation’s busiest

Popular trolley tour to examine more Omaha mansions
The Durham Museum is once again offering a noon trolley tour of some of Omaha’s historic mansions. The tour will focus on mansions north of Dodge Street, including the Mercer Mansion, Cathedral neighborhood, Gifford Park and Bemis Park.
