Salaries, health insurance outlined at forums
Beginning July 1, UNMC faculty and staff will receive an average salary increase of 3.95 percent, with individual increases made on the basis of performance.

Cattlemen’s Ball to take place Saturday
About 25 miles west of Lincoln, just north of Milford, is a former church camp where something righteous is happening on Saturday – the Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska. The ball raises money for cancer research at UNMC.

UNMC epilepsy program making a difference
Everyone looks forward to the weekend, but this coming weekend is extra special to Heather Overton. The 23-year-old Bellevue girl, who was first diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 18 months, will celebrate three years of being seizure free on June 3. It’s a landmark event, and she gives full credit to Sanjay Singh, M.D., director of The Nebraska Epilepsy Center at UNMC and its hospital partner, The Nebraska Medical Center.

UNMC HR takes lead in applying technology applications
Beginning July 10, UNMC will welcome a new automated, Internet-based management system in Human Resources that will help create, modify and update non-faculty position descriptions, compliance requirements and classification or job evaluation related to that position. The new Jobs@ Position Description, Classification and Compliance Module will work in conjunction with the Jobs@ Recruitment module. See story for orientation dates/times.
