Milliken has named a 10-member committee to seek candidates for a position in the Office of the President that will provide leadership for university-wide diversity initiatives. The group will be chaired by Rubens Pamies, M.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs and graduate studies and professor of internal medicine at UNMC.

Workshop on research and education funding opportunities
On Dec. 13, the UNMC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research will host a two-hour workshop on federal funding opportunities focused on research and education. The workshop will cover proposal review processes and available grant funding at the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
