Lions Clubs give $328,000 gift to UNMC low vision program
From bike riding to bingo, Lions Clubs and Foundations of Nebraska and Iowa joined forces for the first time ever to support a cause significant to the organization worldwide — the prevention of blindness. The funds raised will enhance services at the Weigel Williamson Center for Visual Rehabilitation on the UNMC campus.

Marriage, two children and an 11-year career as a biology teacher in Gothenburg may have delayed her dream a bit — but it did not diminish it. On Thursday, Bauman reached a milestone in her quest to make her dream a reality when she learned she would serve a family medicine residency at Lincoln Medical Education Partnership.
