UNMC attends its eighth BIO conference
This is the first of three stories that will run in UNMC Today this week that focus on the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Convention, the largest biotechnology event in the world, to be held June 17-20 in San Diego. A team from UNMC will join a number of other Nebraska academic, business and industry organizations in showcasing biotechnology innovations during the convention, which will take place in the San Diego Convention Center.

Dr. Shaw to step down as surgery chair to lead new project

First of February quadruplets heads home
It’s a day for which Lee and Rachel Woollen of Holdrege, Neb., have been waiting for months. They plan on three more days like it in the coming weeks. Brett Woollen, the first of their four children born Feb. 11, is out of the hospital.

Football 101 raises more than $40,000 for cancer research
LINCOLN — Excitement filled the air recently as nearly 900 Nebraska football fans gathered at the Hawks Championships Center to catch a glimpse of the Bo Pelini era at Football 101. Head Coach Pelini and his staff coached basic defensive, offensive and special teams skills to the women and men in attendance.
