Diabetes Center opens as one-stop shop
The Nebraska Medical Center is now the premier place for specialized diabetes care and education. The hospital’s new Diabetes Center, which opens today, is the only one of its kind in the state and in the region dedicated to offering comprehensive care for patients with diabetes.

Semi-trailer on campus to teach environmental stewardship
UNMC, UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center would like to show employees more ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. In recognition of Earth Day, the medical center will be hosting the Mobile Environmental Education Trailer on campus the week of April 14. Dr. Kalil involved in national guidelines study on fevers in ICU
UNMC physician involved in the national guidelines study looking at fevers in ICU patients. A UNMC infectious disease specialist, Andre Kalil, M.D., was one of 11 experts from around the country to develop guidelines for what physicians should do when critically ill patients develop a new fever.
