UNMC study to help identify Type 1 diabetes
Preventing or delaying the onset of diabetes could avert or postpone blindness, heart disease, nerve and kidney disease. UNMC researchers are participating in a multi-center, international research study with hopes of accomplishing just that.

42nd Street project to impact campus, reduce traffic
By 2007, fewer Fords, Hondas and Jeeps will cut through the UNMC campus or travel down 42nd Street to reach their destination. The University of Nebraska Board of Regents Friday approved an agreement with the City of Omaha for the modification of public streets in the campus vicinity. See story for details.

MMI plans center for autism, pediatric feeding disorders

Research lab assignment policy finalized
UNMC Draft Policy No. 6071: Assignment of Research Laboratory Space has been finalized. The policy is intended as a guiding principle for use in making decisions and taking action with respect to research space. As the policy states, it applies to the entire UNMC campus (all colleges and institutes) and is especially relevant to jointly populated buildings.
