Husband of nursing graduate donates items to alumni history museum
Standing alongside his two sons in the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing and Alumni History Museum, Robert Martina took time to revisit the past. His wife, the late Pauline M. Doughtery, a 1942 College of Nursing graduate and member of the Navy Nurse Corps during World War II, is featured among articles and memorabilia he donated to the museum.

Online courses spotlight critical thinking, ethics
Toby Schonfeld, Ph.D., doesn’t believe everything she sees, hears, or reads. And she encourages her students to process “day-to-day” messages with a similar open mind, critical eye and analytical ear. The UNMC ethicist recently launched a Web-based critical thinking course geared to students in UNMC’s School of Allied Health Professions.

Thank ‘U’ Program changes announced; medallion redemption resumes Aug. 15
The enthusiasm regarding UNMC’s Thank ‘U’ Program was evident Tuesday morning.
Minutes after Human Resources Director John Russell announced changes to the program at a morning forum, the phones started ringing at the desks of Tony Huerta and Jim Wiegel, the personnel techs in Human Resources who are on the front line of the program.
