Faye Haggar, EdD

Dr. Faye Haggar is the Manager of the Office of Community-based Education and Preceptor Excellence. She holds an Assistance Professor role in the Department of Allied Health Professions Education, Research, and Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Allied Health Professions. Dr. Haggar is also the Coordinator for the NU System's Developing Excellence in Academic Leaders Program. She holds a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from Black Hills State University (South Dakota), and an EdD in Education Administration from the University of South Dakota.
Dr. Haggar's passion lies in innovative teaching practices, academic leadership, healthcare education, and program development. She is also an active member of the UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators and plays a significant role in organizations such as the AAMC Central Group on Educational Affairs and the Northern Rocky Mountain Educational Research Association.

Dr. Haggar's research interests focus on educational research, with an emphasis
in digital learning and educational technology within undergraduate medical education/graduate medical education (UME/GME), instructional design, scholarship of teaching and learning, faculty development, and rural/workforce development.
She has contributed to several peer-reviewed journals, including Academic Medicine, Medical Science Educator, Educational Research: Theory and Practice, Journal on Centers for Teaching and Learning and the MedEdPORTAL.
Dr. Haggar also serves as a member of the Graduate Studies Faculty and supports PhD candidates within the MSIA program as they pursue their research.
