"The redesigned site provides an easy to locate and easy to navigate information source for employees regarding HR policies and procedures, both at the campus and the University of Nebraska system level," said Human Resources Executive Director John Russell. "The site also provides us with the means to assure that policies, that employees are viewing and relying on, are up-to-date."
To access the user-friendly listing of Human Resources topics, employees should access the Human Resources site and click on "Employee Guidelines." There, employees may choose "all" to display every handbook topic, or the letter of the specific topic they wish to view. A brief description of the topic will be displayed, followed by a link to the related HR policy, procedures and forms.
"We were aware that employees, including supervisors and managers, were having difficulty navigating through the various locations to find HR policies and procedures," Russell said. "This will simplify that process."
To promote use of the site, bookmarks with the Web address were distributed recently at several meetings. For additional bookmarks, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
