Get a mid-winter break in
paradise at the University of Nebraska Hospital Auxiliary’s
annual Kaleidoscope event March 21. The Scoular Building at 2027
Dodge St. will be turned into an Hawaiian paradise. All proceeds
will benefit The Lied Transplant Center Healing Gardens.
The evening includes a silent
auction, a dinner catered by Hap Abraham and dancing with the
Johnny Ray Gomez Band. Tickets are $75 per person. Doors will
open at 6:30 p.m. for those who wish to preview the silent
auction items.
Silent and oral auction items
include two round-trip tickets to anywhere Midwest Express flies;
a one-week stay in a Breckenridge, Colo., condo; a three-night
stay in Sundance Resort in Utah, compliments of the Robert
Redford family; signed Husker memorabilia, including a football;
Princess Diana Memorial Beanie Baby; several catered dinners; a
wine tasting party for 16 people at Spirit World; and a Best of
Omaha cultural package that includes orchestra tickets to an
Omaha Symphony Masterworks concert and the opening night of Aida
presented by Opera Omaha; and general seating tickets for the
family to a performance at The Rose.
